4L60, 700-R4 Stock Torque converters

GM 700 / 200C / 2004R series converters should be ordered by the code tag on the converter. The Code sticker will ID the stall speed, type of clutch and damper, spring rate and the type of mounting lugs on the cover.
When ordering converters, If the converter has been rebuilt or the tag is missing please e-mail us the Year, Make, Model, of the trans & car or truck.

1st digit is the APPLICATION

C = Early 700R4 w/27 spline # B15 series

D= '85-up 700R4 30 spline # B29 series

H=10 1/8" # B24 series
B24's use different codes

2nd Digit is the STALL range

G,H,K = 1200-1400 stall

E,F,L = 1611-1654 stall

B,C = 2000 stall

3rd digit is the type of Clutch & damper

1982-1995 most all codes interchanged

1996 up A,G,H,L CARBON Filled Clutch

N & P Woven Graphite Clutch

4th digit is the Cover type

C,D,F & G codes interchange

E code is a 6 Lug Diesel
